Meet Journey! She’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week.
Journey is a 3 year old female Rottweiler mix. She’s a big bundle of love! We had a group of kids come by the shelter to drop off some donations (thank you Avery Parsons!) and they all met Journey! At one point they were in a circle around her and she LOVED going from girl to girl, getting loved on. If you’re looking for a dog who is good with all people, Journey is your pup!
All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:
- Spay or Neuter
- Age-appropriate boosters
- De-wormer
- Vaccines
- Microchip

Bow Wow Film Festival
The third annual Bow Wow Film Festival is February 29th at the Salida SteamPlant. Come out and enjoy a night filled with animal-themed shorts! Tickets are $10 and can be purchased now at the Salida SteamPlant Box Office, Salida Chamber of Commerce, Salida Free the Monkey or Ark-Valley Humane Society. Proceeds benefit AVHS.
Tails on the Trail
