UPDATE: Gomez has been adopted and is heading to his forever home!

Meet Gomez! He is the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week!

Gomez is a 3 year old male Pit Bull Terrier Mix. Gomez is currently in a loving foster enjoying all of the cuddles and treats. His foster mom adores him and would adopt him if she could, and is hopeful that his forever family will call soon. He had to come back to the shelter for a week while she was gone, and when they reunited yesterday his whole body lightened up! We know he will feel this way about his forever family one day too.

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

  • Spay or Neuter
  • Age-appropriate boosters
  • De-wormer
  • Vaccines
  • Microchip

Because Gomez is the Pet of the Week, her adoption fees are 50% off (Adoption fees vary by age and animal). Visit the Ark Valley Humane Society’s website to learn more.

Good Pet/Bad Portait

Only a few portraits left! Don’t miss out on our second annual good pet/bad portrait fundraiser. For a $25 payment, one of our volunteer artists or staff members will send you a portrait of your pet! We have to admit, many of us are much better at caring for animals than crafting masterpieces, but we will try our best to create a beautiful rendering or a comical doodle to bring a smile to your face. Tails on the Trail

The 4th annual Tails on the Trail will be held virtually on May 16th! Tune in to the Ark-Valley Humane Society’s Facebook live the morning of May 16th at 9 am for yoga with Andra Dolton followed by dog training with Jenna Geldreich and then a word from our executive director Amber van Leuken. Then go out and complete your 5k however you’d like, make sure to snap a photo and send it to us to be featured on our stories! All registered participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and goody bag to be handed out after the event!
