Pet of the Week: Gomez

Meet Gomez! He is the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week!

Gomez is a 3 year old male Pit Bull Terrier Mix. Gomez is currently in a loving foster home full of treats and long walks but his foster family is going away soon and we’d love for him to find a forever family soon so he doesn’t have to return to a kennel!

His Foster Mom is absolutely in love with everything about Gomez. She said that “he is the perfect balance of a couch potato but will also go on long hikes. I like that he does not need to be exercised everyday but is always up for a stroll when I want to take him on one.”

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

Spay or Neuter
Age-appropriate boosters
De-wormer
Vaccines
Microchip

Good Pet/Bad Portait

Our second annual Good Pet/Bad Portrait goes live tomorrow morning! When you give a donation of $25 to AVHS, one of our volunteer artists or staff members will send you a portrait of your pet! We have to admit, many of us are much better at caring for animals than crafting masterpieces, but we will try our best to create a beautiful rendering or a comical doodle to bring a smile to your face. Tails on the Trail

The 4th annual Tails on the Trail will be held virtually on May 16th! Tune in to our Facebook live the morning of May 16th for an hour of dog training with Jenna Geldreich and a word from our executive director Amber van Leuken. Then go out and complete your 5k however you’d like, make sure to snap a photo and send it to us to be featured on our stories!
