Meet Ellie! She is the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pets of the Week.

Ellie is an adventurous (and cuddly!) 3 year old female American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She’s doing so well in her wonderful foster home right now! Ellie does great when left alone, and also loves to hang out with all people!

Ellie’s gotten to go on a lot of hikes and can definitely keep up! She loves to enjoy the car rides to the trailheads too. If you’re looking for an adventure pup who is the sweetest gal with all humans, then give us a call today.

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

Meet Shavano!

We had Shavano with us in studio! She’s the last from our litter of sick pit bull puppies we got in in September. AVHS offers spay/neuter assistance for all pit bulls and pit bull mixes of Chaffee County, if you have an intact pit bull please consider getting them fixed, we see sick pit bull puppies and adult unwanted pitties every year, and while we love them, the shelter is not a great place for them, there is no need for more pit bull puppies in our county, and make sure if you want to add a pittie to your life, to check out the Humane Society and adopt one instead of buying from a breeder!
