Meet Bubba! He’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week.
Bubba is a 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix. He is an extremely handsome and active pup who loves every person he meets! He does need to be the only pet in the home, as he gets overly excited when meeting other animals and doesn’t have the best manners.
Bubba has been at the shelter longer than any other animal we currently have, unfortunately since he needs to be the one and only pet he doesn’t get as much interest as our other dogs. If you know someone who is looking for just one pet, please tell them about Bubba! He has spent a lot of time in a foster home and his foster dad says he is amazing- can be left alone during the workday and does great!
All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:
- Spay or Neuter
- Age-appropriate boosters
- De-wormer
- Vaccines
- Microchip

Bow Wow Film Festival
We’re holding our Third annual Bow Wow Film Festival on February 29th at the Salida SteamPlant. Come out and enjoy a night filled with animal-themed shorts! Tickets are $10 and can be purchased now at the Salida SteamPlant Box Office, Salida Chamber of Commerce, Salida Free the Monkey or Ark-Valley Humane Society. Proceeds benefit AVHS.
