Meet Simba! He’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week!

Simba is a loving and adventurous 8-month-old Cattle Dog mix. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was very shy and fearful. Simba is still nervous in new situations but has been gaining so much confidence in a wonderful foster home! This experienced foster family even took him on a trip and he did great! He met several kids ranging in age from babies to 6-years-old and got to hang out with Mosley (his foster dog older brother) on this adventure. During the Home for the Holidays Adoption Promo Simba’s fees are pay what you can!

Home For the Holidays Adoption Promotion

Help us get all of our furry friends a forever home for the holidays! Now through Saturday, December 23rd, you can name your price on adoption fees for all adult animals (8 months and older) and 1/2 off adoption fees for all puppies and kittens!

Colorado Gives Day

All donations made through Colorado Gives between Nov. 1st through Dec. 5th are boosted by the incentive fund! All participating nonprofits receive a percentage of the fund equal to the percentage they raised for Colorado Gives day. The incentive fund totals over $1,000,000 this year. You can donate now at coloradogives.org/arkvalleyhumanesociety or at ark-valley.org!

AVHS Calendars Are In!

AVHS Calendars are now available for purchase at the shelter for only $15! Supplies are limited, so make sure to get yours soon! They’re open from 12 to 5 PM, Monday through Saturday at 701 Gregg Drive in Buena Vista.
