Today’s Pets of the Week are a little different! George and Yuri are a bonded pair at Ark-Valley Humane Society(AVHS) who would benefit from a home with outdoor access. After evaluations by shelter staff and the veterinarian, along with ample time and socialization, it was determined that these cats may not be comfortable in a typical indoor-only home. They are considered barn cats, though they may be comfortable spending some time indoors. Barn cats have no adoption fee, and adopters receive information to help make the transition to their new home successful.
This Sunday, September 27th, Ark-Valley Humane Society’s Feline & Fido Photo Contest begins! Submit a pet’s photo early for more time to collect votes and a chance to be featured in the 2027 AVHS Calendar. Every photo submitted will be featured somewhere in the calendar, and proceeds from entries, votes, and calendar sales benefit AVHS shelter pets in need. Everyone is a winner!
