Patten Appears In Court Over Fatal Car Accident

Diane Patten of Somerset made her first appearance in District Court Wednesday.

Patten is on trial as the driver of a car involved in an incident on Monarch Pass which left an Indiana pair dead on July 2nd, when the vehicle she was driving collided head on with their motorcycle.

The Deputy DA in charge of the case says it may take another 45 days before charges can be filed in the case due to the reconstruction, and investigation connected to the case.

Patten will next appear in court on August 14th although she may appear over the phone if she is in compliance with her bond conditions.
