The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public input on a draft environmental impact statement evaluating proposed expansion of the Parkdale Quarry west of Canon City.
If approved, the expansion would provide assess to about 400 million tons of aggregate used to produce asphalt and concrete.
The BLM will host a public meeting February 26 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Abbey Event Center in Canon City.
The public comment period will run through March 23rd.
