A fire destroyed a home in Park County yesterday then spread to become a wildfire.
A house fire was reported yesterday afternoon along Gap Road in the Elk Horn subdivision.
The home was occupied when the fire started. Everyone inside was able to escape quickly and call first responders. However, the fire was able to spread to surrounding vegetation.
By 8 o’clock last night, the fire was 100 percent contained. It burned about 2 acres.
The home was a total loss and it is currently unknown what started the fire.
