Pamela Jo (Serafin) Bustos, passed away November 15, 2025 at the age of 66, with her husband, Pat Bustos by her side. Pam was a loved wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She was especially proud of being an aunt to her three nieces. She remained resilient, strong and maintained her sense of humor during her almost 10-year push-back, against cancer. Pam was born August 2, 1959 in Ark City, Kansas to Don and Sharon Serafin and lived in Kansas until her family moved to Eagle County, Colorado in 1970. Pam and Pat Bustos married, March 6, 1984 and made their life in Salida ever since; working, watching Pat play softball and touching the lives of so many. If Pam caught wind that a family member, friend, or friend of a friend, needed anything, they were getting her help or advice, whether they wanted it or not. In her profession as a Financial Advisor, she took great satisfaction in helping others achieve their financial goals. Pam had a passion for cooking, cook books and kitchen gadgets, spring flowers, and gardens. She loved hosting holiday gatherings for her family and everyone left with large amounts of left-overs. Everything was always thought out and planned, right down to the number and size of containers each person was taking home. Pam and Pat also vacationed in Mexico as often as they could, soaking up the sun, that Pam loved so much. Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Donald Serafin. She is survived by her husband, Pat Bustos of Salida, mother Sharon Serafin of Poncha Springs, brother Bart (Jody) Serafin of Swansboro, NC, sister Shanda (Ted) Senter of Poncha Springs, nieces; Ashlea Lara (Richard) Strohman of Sedalia, MO, Kayce and Morgan Serafin of Colorado Springs, and an aunt, uncle and cousins throughout the Country. A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, December 6th from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Salida SteamPlant. The attire is casual. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
