Representative Brittany Pettersen and Senator Michael Bennet hosted an in-person Town Hall meeting at Salida High School last night, drawing a crowd of more than 1,200 attendees. The high school gymnasium was filled with constituents eager to hear from the two lawmakers on a wide range of issues.

Among the most discussed topics was the ongoing trade war and tariffs, with local business owners like Mike Harvey of Badfish SUP voicing concerns about the impact on small manufacturers. Harvey and others noted that rising costs from imported materials are squeezing local operations and threatening jobs.

The event, which lasted over an hour, allowed for public questions and highlighted key legislative priorities, including education, healthcare, and climate action. The full recording of the event is now available on Representative Pettersen’s Facebook page.
