During the week of April 1, 2024, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office received information of a possible Sexual Assault to a young child.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office immediately began an investigation into the matter and on April 5, 2024 the following arrests were made:

David Lee Patton, age 30, from Nathrop, Colorado was charged with:

Sexual Assault of a Child, by One in a Position of Trust, Pattern of Sexual Abuse, a Class 3 Felony

Obscenity, a Class 6 Felony

Child Abuse, a Class 1 Misdemeanor

Patton is being held on a $10,000 Cash Bond.

Morgan Jean Ryen, age 25, from Poncha Springs, Colorado.

Child Abuse, a Class 1 Misdemeanor

Persons Required to report Child Abuse or Neglect, a Class 2 Misdemeanor

Both were transported and booked into the Chaffee County Detentions Facility

Morgan was held on a $1000.00 bond.
