The North Creek Fire started over the weekend near Beulah, west of Pueblo, is now 10% contained and has burned just over 40 acres.

Mandatory evacuation orders have been downgraded to pre-evacuation notices.

It has been determined that the North Creek Fire was a campfire used by a hunter. A person of interest has been identified by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office is working with federal agents on this investigation as the fire is on U.S. Forest Service property.
