A new wildfire, known as the 11 Fire, is burning in Fremont County south of Guffey near the Teller County border.
As of the latest update, the fire has grown to approximately 43 acres.
Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for residents in the area of High Park Road and County Road 352A as firefighters work to contain the blaze.
Officials urge residents to follow evacuation orders immediately and avoid the area to allow emergency crews to safely conduct firefighting operations.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released, and firefighters continue to monitor conditions as hot, dry weather and elevated fire danger persist across southern Colorado.
