The Chaffee County Community Foundation has announced new Impact Grants aimed at supporting environmental and housing solutions in the community.  

This initiative will provide funding to local organizations addressing two critical issues in Chaffee County—environmental challenges, such as clean water, environmental stewardship, and recycling or waste reduction efforts, as well as affordable housing solutions that make long-term, sustainable housing accessible to local residents.   

The Housing Innovation Grant will be awarded to one or more applicants in amounts ranging from $10,000 up to $35,000. A single recipient will receive up to $16,000 for the Environmental Innovation Grant.   

The application window closes April 14, 2023.

Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee.
