Critical fire weather conditions will be possible across the area today due to gusty winds and low relative humidity. Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire growth.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a mostly sunny high of 71. Look for an overnight low of 39.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 61, a low of 35.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 51 with a low of 25.
Snow returns to the mountains for tomorrow and Wednesday. Impacts will be mainly confined to the mountain areas with moderate to heavy snowfall possible over the highest peaks.
Another system will move in Friday into Saturday with mountains snows and lower elevation rain showers.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
