A Red Flag Fire Warning is effect for today for much of southern Colorado including Fremont County and the San Luis Valley.

Gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels will result in high fire danger.  Winds will be gusting to 40 mph out of the southwest. 

Conditions are favorable for the rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires.  

Salida and Buena Vista will see a high of 67, a low of 35.

The San Luis Valley can expect a high of 63, a low of 29.

Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 45, a low of 21.

Looking ahead, sunny skies continue through Wednesday then a rain / snow mix is expected for the weekend starting on Thursday.
