Monarch Mountain is increasing its annual contribution to the Chaffee County Community Foundation, boosting its support from $35,000 to $50,000 this year to help strengthen local nonprofit efforts.
The funding is distributed through the Monarch Mountain Community Outreach Fund, which is managed by the Foundation and provides financial support to charitable organizations throughout the region.
In a press release, Monarch Mountain General Manager Chris Haggerty said, “Even though it was a challenging season for Monarch, we know many of our nonprofit partners and community organizations are feeling those same pressures. Supporting the organizations that help care for our community remains important to us, and we wanted to do what we could to help during a difficult time.”
Since its inception in 2004, the Monarch Mountain Community Outreach program has contributed more than $400,000 to local charitable organizations, helping support a wide range of community services and programs throughout the area.
