Monarch Mountain will close for the 2024–2025 season this Sunday, with the annual Gunbarrel Challenge as the final celebration. Participants hike up and ski or ride down the Gunbarrel trail, with the fastest competitor earning the Golden Boot.
Registration is free but must be completed between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the season pass desk. Monarch is also offering $39 lift tickets for the final weekend at skimonarch.com.
