Monarch Mountain is excited to unveil more than 30 artist-designed snowboards as part of its 5th Annual Snowboard Art Show, a creative collaboration between Monarch Mountain and the Salida Council for the Arts. Each work of art transforms a retired snowboard into a unique, one-of-a-kind piece, blending mountain culture with local artistic expression.
All boards featured in the show are available for purchase. Ten percent of each sale benefits the Salida Council for the Arts, with the remaining proceeds going directly to the artists.
“This show continues to grow in both creativity and community energy,” said Eva Egbert, Marketing and Events Administrator. “Seeing local artists turn old snowboards into bold, imaginative works of art is one of my favorite parts of the season. It’s a perfect celebration of creativity, sustainability, and the spirit of Monarch.”
Opening Reception Invitation
Monarch Mountain invites the community to join us for a special Artists’ Reception on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. at Elmo’s Bar. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists, view the collection up close, and celebrate another year of local creativity.
The Snowboard Art Show will remain on display throughout the winter season at Monarch Mountain.
We’re excited to see the incredible creativity this year’s show brings!
