Monarch Mountain is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Haggerty as the new General Manager of the ski area. He brings with him a lifelong passion for the ski industry and a proven track record of leadership, team-building, and operational excellence.

Having worked various position in the industry, Haggerty will provide a unique, well-rounded perspective for the independently owned ski area. His commitment to delivering outstanding visitor experiences aligns seamlessly with Monarch Mountain’s culture.

“My leadership approach has always been centered on building lasting connections with my teams. This has been key not only for team retention but also for operational success,” said Haggerty. “I am excited to bring this philosophy to Monarch Mountain, where I see a natural alignment with the resort’s mission of cultivating real connections with both team members and guests.”

As a devoted family man, Haggerty is eager to continue Monarch’s legacy of providing a family-friendly environment, while continuing to ensure that guests enjoy the best of what the mountain has to offer.

Under this new leadership, Monarch Mountain will continue to deliver the same high-quality ski experiences that guests have come to love, while exploring new ways to improve guest services and expand mountain activities.

Monarch Mountain Community Outreach will be collecting soft good gear donations to give back to those in need. The event runs September 27-29 from 9am-5pm
