Travelers should plan for delays along County Road 371 on Wednesday and Thursday as a tunneling engineering firm conducts required testing on the Midland Tunnel structures.
The annual testing is performed to evaluate the structural integrity of the surrounding rock and to identify any potential safety concerns that may require mitigation. During this time, access through the tunnel portals will be limited.
Motorists may experience delays of up to 30 minutes while testing is underway. Traffic flow is expected to return to normal by Friday.
