The Low Line Fire in Gunnison County has grown to almost 1,700 acres and is now 38% contained.
The lightning caused fire broke out on July 26th about 14 miles northwest of Gunnison.
Mandatory evacuations remain in place for the Squirrel Creek and Mill Creek drainages. In addition, National Forest land near the fire is also closed.
