Colorado’s state competition for the National Civics Bee will take place tomorrow in Denver beginning at 10am.
Middle school students from across the state compete in a live quiz show followed by questions from judges. The goal of the Bee is to encourage young students to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th and 8th graders will flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. Finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the National Civics Bee National Championship in Fall 2026.
Representing our area for the state finals are Liam Puckett and Kaila Depew, both of Darren Patterson Christian Academy and Elsie Rasmussen of Buena Vista Middle School. Finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the National Civics Bee National Championship in Fall 2026.
