Leonard Lee Jameson, 85 and a resident of Blue River, Colorado passed away on March 19th, 2026, from Lymphoma at home with the love of his life and his two daughters at his side.
Leonard was born January 28, 1941, in Amarillo, Texas, the son William Ben and Mercedes Miller Jameson and raised in Phillips, Texas. He was a proud member of the Church of Christ founded by his grandparents. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1957. Then attended Frank Phillips College.
He married Margie Ruth Bean in 1962. They were married for 64 adventurous years. Margie caught Leonard’s eye while cruising with friends and it was love at first sight. He is survived by two daughters, Leigh Jameson and Melinda DeBee, son-in-law John DeBee and grandchildren and spouses; Ryan, Trevor, Nate & Madi, Faith, Hope, Joy, and Grace.
Leonard worked as a District Sales Manager at Coca Cola USA in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and then worked at the General Motors Plant and retired after 28 years. Through their hard work and perseverance Leonard and Margie pursued their lifelong dream of living in the mountains and retired in Blue River, Colorado.
Leonard especially loved camping, fishing, four-wheeling, hiking, skiing, biking, riding trains, traveling and concerts in the mountains. He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend. A common-sense man, who taught his family commitment, to pursue your dreams, to be loyal to your family, and to keep your word.
He will be remembered for his love of God and family, his great outdoor spirit and his love for the mountains and his country.
Preceding Leonard in death are WB and Mercedes Mae Jameson, Ruth and Billy Whitecotton (mother-in-law and father In-law); Ben and Lonnie Jameson (brothers) and Linda Wood (twin sister) Nicholas DeBee, (grandson).
Thank you dad for sharing your life with mom, your daughters and family. We love and miss you. We keep our eyes on the sky and think of you when we see a soaring eagle.
A private celebration of life will be held later with his family and friends.
