Judy Ann Tanner, age 77, passed in Salida, Colorado on July 12th, 2026. Her parents Cordelia and Joseph Salazar gave birth to her on July 8th, 1949, in Salida, CO. As a Lifelong resident of Salida, she graduated from Salida High School and went on to marry Wayne Tanner. They had two boys; Don Tanner and Wallace Tanner.
She worked as a caregiver for 15 years at Starpoint and was also on the Board of Directors for The Grainery Ministries. She was an active member of Living Waters Church. She frequently cared for others in their time of need, including her mother in her final years.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and her sister; Jo Ann Myers.
Judy is survived by her brother; Jim (Connie) Salazar, sister; Liz Gonzales, brother-in-law; Milton Myers, sons; Don Tanner and Wallace Tanner, grandchildren; Marc Tanner, Faith (Mason) Harris, Mikayla (Chris) Solano, great grandchildren; Lane Solano, Harleigh Harris, Wyatt Brown, lots of nieces and nephews, two aunts and lots of cousins.
A funeral service will be held at Living Waters Church in Salida, CO on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with an interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
