A judge has imposed sanctions in the Custer County triple homicide case involving Hanme Clark due to discovery violations by the 11th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

District Court Judge Lauren Swan ruled that the penalty will reopen Clark’s preliminary hearing, allowing for additional cross-examination of witnesses.

Clark is facing three counts of first-degree murder after allegedly shooting his neighbors during a property dispute in November 2023.

The judge’s decision could potentially impact the prosecution’s case as it proceeds.
