Journalist Joe Stone Joins Heart of the Rockies Radio Team

Chaffee County Commissioners yesterday set a date of April 21st for a public hearing on Nestle Waters North America’s 1041 permit application. 

Heart of the Rockies Radio News will follow this process by bringing in veteran journalist Joe Stone to join our team. 

Stone is an award winning journalist with an extensive background in water and related issues.  Joe has reported on local, regional and state water issues for more than 15 years, writing and editing numerous reports about water and environmental issues while working at Oak Ridge National Lab. 

Joe’s background also includes serving on the South Platte Basin Roundtable and the Harris Park Water and Sanitation District Board of Directors. 

Stone’s articles on the Nestle permit renewal and other water issues will be featured on Heart of the Rockies Radio news and in depth articles will be found on HeartoftheRockiesRadio.com. 

Commissioners also set a date of January 21st for a public hearing to consider a special event permit for the 2020 Seven Peaks Music Festival.  The festival is set for September 3-7, 2020 at The Meadows in Buena Vista.
