Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area is accepting applications until Friday for its Citizen Task Force, a 16-member panel that advises Colorado Parks and Wildlife on management issues in the Upper Arkansas River Valley.

One delegate is needed to represent each of the following areas: anglers, commercial permittees, private boaters, environmental interests, water users, government organizations, riverfront property owners and outdoor recreation.

Task force members serve two-year terms.  Members are expected to attend four or five meetings a year.

Information on the nomination process can be obtained by visiting the AHRA website.  Nomination forms are also available at the AHRA Visitor Center at 307 W. Sackett Avenue in Salida.
