On April 19th, BLM Rangers conducting raptor counts in the Phantom Canyon area, reported to deputies the discovery of human remains.
On the morning of April 20th, Fremont County Search and Rescue, Fremont County deputies, and the Fremont County Coroner’s Office, conducted recovery operations in the area of mile marker 10, County Road 67.
An autopsy was conducted on April 26, 2022. At that time the remains were identified as those of Bobby Stringer, who went missing in the same area on February 21, 2022.
