Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Readies First Round of COVID-19 Vaccines

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center anticipates receiving its first round of the coronavirus vaccine Thursday, Dec. 16th, and will immediately begin vaccinating frontline and health care workers.

Contact information from the general public looking to receive the Covid-19 vaccine is not currently being scheduled.

If members of the public are interested in receiving the vaccine in the future, they are encouraged to make an appointment with their primary care provider.

Chaffee County Public Health is hosting a virtual town hall meeting to provide updates and address concerns about current trends of Covid-19 on Friday beginning at 12 noon on Facebook Live.

Public Health will be joined by representatives from Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center, Chaffee County Board of Commissioners, Chaffee County Emergency Medical Services, Solvista Health and the school districts.

Topics will include the latest with the Covid-19 vaccine and distribution plans, the county’s healthcare system, mental health issues, economic support resources and the Chaffee’s Got HEART campaign.

The virtual town hall will be available on the Chaffee County Public Health Covid-19 page.
