The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Foundation is offering several scholarships for graduating high school seniors and current college students pursuing careers in healthcare in 2026.

Among the opportunities:

  • The William Mehos Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who resides within the Salida Hospital District and plans to major in a healthcare field.
  • The HRRMC Auxiliary Scholarship is available to students living within the Buena Vista, Salida, and Cotopaxi school districts.
  • The Charles J. Forster Scholarship is designed for current college students majoring in healthcare.
  • The Annie Little Scholarship supports graduates of Buena Vista High School who are currently enrolled in college and majoring in healthcare.
  • The EMT/CNA/CMA to RN Scholarships are available to current paramedics, Certified Nurse Assistants, or Certified Medical Assistants who are pursuing a nursing degree.
