A side-effect of the pandemic means people are spending more time at home. And that means more home projects.
For South Park Ace and other hardware stores, this has meant instead of seeing a drop in business this year, the crew has been hustling to keep many items in stock.
Owner Jody Messa says keeping supplies in stock has been a challenge, and they have had to move stocking times around to do overnight shifts and they have had to hire on some extra staff to help out as well.
Hot items have been anything to do with home improvement or camping and camper supplies.
Messa did make a plea to customers heading into her store and others, to please show patience when going out and picking up supplies, and to remember whether you agree with policies or not, store employees are the messengers, not the decision makers.
