The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin a highway resurfacing project today on Highway 69 between Hillside and Texas Creek.
The work will include resurfacing both the northbound and southbound lanes, constructing a new maintenance pull-off, installing guardrails, and adding fresh striping and updated roadway signage.
The project is scheduled to be completed in August.
Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. During work hours, traffic will be reduced to a single lane with alternating traffic through the work zone.
Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays of up to 15 minutes and are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution around crews and equipment.
