SALIDA, Colo. – High Country Bank is proud to partner with the City of Salida and the Salida Community Center to host the community’s annual 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 4, in downtown Salida.
This year’s celebration will feature a special hometown honor as the Grand Marshals of the parade will be the Salida High School Girls Basketball Team in recognition of their outstanding State Championship season and the pride they have brought to the Salida community.
The parade lineup begins at 12:30 p.m. at 5th and F Street, with the parade officially starting at 1:00 p.m. The parade route will travel along F Street from 5th Street to 1st Street.
As part of the community celebration, High Country Bank encourages local businesses, organizations, clubs, families, and individuals to participate in the parade. Entry is free, and organizers are accepting equestrian, marching, and float entries. Participation is limited to 45 entries.
“At High Country Bank, we are honored to help continue this longstanding Salida tradition,” said Robin NeJame, Community Outreach Director with High Country Bank. “This year is especially meaningful as we recognize the incredible accomplishments of the Salida High School Girls Basketball Team and celebrate the spirit and pride of our community. These young women and their coaches worked hard and it paid off.”
Parade organizers remind attendees to practice safety during the event. Candy may be tossed from parade entries, and spectators are encouraged to wait until the route is clear before entering the street. Children should remain supervised at all times.
Temporary street closures will also be in effect on July 4. Parking on F Street from 3rd Street to 8th Street will be prohibited beginning at 7:00 a.m., and vehicles remaining after 11:00 a.m. may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Parade entry forms are available at High Country Bank, located at 7360 W Highway 50 in Salida. Completed entries must be returned by June 26.
