On Friday, Feb. 5, Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center will host a COVID-19 community vaccination clinic.
The clinic will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and will be located at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds, 10165 County Road 120 in Salida. An online scheduler is available for eligible community members to schedule an appointment at https://hrrmcvaccines.rsvpify.com/.
This vaccination clinic will be available to those community members who fall into Phase 1A and specific Phase 1B categories set forth by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). This includes:
- Healthcare workers;
- First responders; and
- Coloradans aged 70 and older.
“HRRMC is committed to offering additional COVID-19 vaccines to the community,” said CEO Bob Morasko. “Moving the vaccination effort forward with all of the resources we have available is a key priority for us at this time.”
HRRMC emphasizes that community members sign up for a specific time slot utilizing the online scheduler at https://hrrmcvaccines.rsvpify.com/. For anyone who has challenges with the online scheduler, a phone number is available for troubleshooting issues at (719) 530-2479.
Consent forms are required for vaccinations, and can be found on the online scheduler, as well as on HRRMC’s COVID-19 website: https://www.hrrmc.com/covid-19-updates/covid-19-vaccine/. For those who cannot print forms, these will be available at the main entrance of the hospital and all HRRMC clinics prior to Friday. HRRMC asks that anyone who signs up please come prepared with this paperwork completed to ensure vehicle traffic is minimized.
Vaccinations will take place completely within each person’s vehicle. Vehicles will enter through the main entrance of the Chaffee County Fairgrounds, and immediately be met at a checkpoint with further instructions.
