Gregory Allen Dawe, 67 of Leadville, Colorado was born December 14,1958 in Ishpeming, Michigan. He died September 28, 2026. Greg moved to Climax, Colorado when he was very young. He moved to Leadville and attended school in Leadville. Throughout his life, Greg had a variety of jobs. He worked at Climax, Asarco Mine, various restaurants in Leadville, Vail, and Summit County. He worked at Whole Foods Market in Friscoand often said how much he loved that job!
He was an excellent chef and loved to cook. While spending time with his family in Wisconsin, he enjoyed fishing with Bear, writing and telling stories with Rhonda, and telling scary stories and fishing with Cindy.
He was an avid Bronco fan. He watched the Broncos, Nuggets, and Avalanche games with his nephew John. They shared many adventures in and around Leadville and watched movies together. He loved telling jokes and had a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lois Elaine and Calvin Clayton Dawe, his brother Calvin Carl Dawe, his sister Debra (Debbie) Elaine Boettcher, and his Uncle Roger Hendrickson.
He is survived by Bruce Bear, niece Cynthia Pelkey (married to Daniel Pelkey) and their children Daniel Jr., David, Sophia, Summer (her children Calvin Pelkey and Jesse Janke), and Deven Pelkey. Niece Rhonda Boettcher; her daughter Kaytee Durrsma, and her husband Troy; their children Bella, Bear, and Braxton; Kelly Boettcher and Samantha Boettcher.
He is also survived by his nephew John Calvin Dawe; his children Tyler, Sylvia, and Rylee Dawe; and sister-in-law Jean Marie Dawe.
