Gold Rush Days & Contin-Tail Gem Show This Weekend in Buena Vista

Buena Vista’s Gold Rush Days kicks off tomorrow with a full weekend of activities.

Saturday’s events begin with the Optimist Club Pancake Breakfast from 7–10 a.m. at Columbine Park. The day continues with live music in McPhelemy Park, plus a Vendor Village and Kids Village at the Rodeo Grounds.

On Sunday, the highlight is the Pack Burro Race, starting at 10 a.m. on East Main Street.

Meanwhile, the Contin-Tail Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show is underway at the Buena Vista Rodeo Grounds, running through Sunday. Visitors can browse gems, minerals, fossils, handmade jewelry, art, and more. Admission and parking are free.
