Yesterday’s thunderstorm systems produced some of the more interesting weather seen in the Cotopaxi area for quite some time.
A funnel cloud formed around 4:18 pm yesterday near the DeWeese Reservoir. A tornado warning was issued from Pueblo at 4:30 for the area before being cancelled at 5 pm.
Thunderstorms are a common occurrence this time of year in the mountains, and it is advised you check your local forecast and be aware of any possible conditions which could form before going out to take part in outdoor activities.
