The Ark Valley Humane Society will offer free microchip and pet ID tag services throughout next week, Monday through Sunday, at its shelter located at Ark Valley Humane Society Shelter on Gregg Drive.

The free services include microchip implantation for both cats and dogs, as well as engraved pet identification tags.

Humane Society staff are asking pet owners to follow a few guidelines to help the clinic run smoothly:

  • Cats must arrive in secure carriers.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash.
  • Upon arrival, owners should leave pets in their vehicles and check in at the front desk first.
  • Paperwork will need to be completed before services are provided.
  • Wait times may vary depending on demand.

Microchips and identification tags can significantly improve the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners, making them an important part of responsible pet ownership.

The Humane Society encourages pet owners throughout the Arkansas Valley to take advantage of these free services while they are available.
