The Pike and San Isabel National Forests have extending the closure of developed recreation sites, campgrounds, and restricted fire activity.
The closure now extends until May 31st. The Forest Service continues to ban all campfires, along with charcoal grills and wood stoves.
Trails, trailheads, and general forest areas remain accessible for public use.
