The Colorado State Patrol says a motorcyclist is dead following a crash on Highway 285 on Friday.
According to the State Patrol, the crash occurred north of Fairplay around 2:45 p.m. A woman riding a motorcycle was heading northbound and attempted to pass a vehicle in the left lane. The motorcycle hit a car heading southbound and then the car she was attempting to pass in the right lane. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other drivers did not sustain any injuries and are cooperating with the investigation. Her identity will be released at a later date.
