Farmer’s Almanac says Colorado Should Prepare for the ‘Winter of the Great Divide’

The Farmers’ Almanac has released their annual winter prediction and Colorado could be in for a very snowy winter.

Calling it “the Winter of the Great Divide,” due to abnormal weather conditions expected across the US, the Farmer’s Almanac says to “expect above-normal snowfall,” especially in northern Colorado. Their prediction also calls for “normal to below-normal” temperatures across the Rocky Mountains.

The Farmers’ Almanac prediction, however, is quite different than the recent NOAA prediction which says Colorado “will likely see above average temperatures and average snowfall amounts.”
