Expect Delays on Monarch Pass and I-70

Expect delays on Highway 50 over Monarch Pass today. 

The Colorado Department of Transportation will be conducting winter maintenance and avalanche control work near Monarch Ski area. 

No exact time is given for the work, and the closure should last about an hour dependent on the amount of snow. 

Motorists are advised to watch for traffic control personnel.

CDOT is also planning a safety closure for I 70 today between Frisco and Vail Pass. The closure will start at 11 am to allow for winter maintenance operations. Motorists should prepare for a closure that may last through the early afternoon.
