Families across Chaffee County will have several opportunities to celebrate Easter this weekend with community egg hunts in Salida, Poncha Springs, and Buena Vista.

The Salida Community Center will host its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Thonhoff Park, located in front of the Chaffee County Courthouse.

In Poncha Springs, the town’s Easter Egg Hunt kicks off at 10 a.m. at Chipeta Park in front of Town Hall. The event will be followed by a free pancake breakfast and a chance for families to meet the Easter Bunny.

Later in the day, One Love Endurance will host its third annual Easter Egg Hunt at McPhelemy Park in Buena Vista. The hunt begins at 3 p.m. and is open to children through 5th grade.

Organizers encourage families to arrive early and enjoy a full day of festive activities across the county.
