Tuesday morning brought both Zayne Walker and Nico Granzella of the Salida Spartans baseball team to the campus of Aurora Central High School as they participated in the annual Colorado Dugout Clubs Senior Games.
The two Spartans joined a team made up of players from the 3A Tri-Peaks and Intermountain Leagues, competing against the 4A/5A Metro league seniors.
Granzella and Walker both would start the game, and Walker was scheduled to pitch the 8th inning before the game was shortened due to time.
The Spartans will continue playing their Chaffee County series with the Buena Vista Demons next week after playing in the Akers Tournament this week in Salida and Buena Vista.
