A Fort Collins woman has been sentenced to 90-days in jail in connection to the overdose death of 32-year-old Gregory Ulmen of Leadville.
The Leadville Police Department found a series of text messages between Ulmen and 50-year-old Shawn Brecka concerning drug transactions. Brecka pleaded guilty to selling methamphetamine to fund her heroin habit.
Brecka also received 4 years probation and 120 hours of public service, along with $5,000 in court cost and fees.
Sentencing leniency on a charge that carries up to six years in prison was given because Brecka has engaged in extensive substance abuse treatment, including an in-patient program.
