All State honors have been announced by the Colorado High School Activities Association and include Buena Vista’s Charlotte Apodaca and Salida’s Eva Capozza.
The 2023 all-state girls’ soccer teams honor the best players in the sport as judged by the leagues and coaches.
Buena Vista’s Charlotte Apodaca was named First Team All-State in girls’ soccer. Evelyn Hachmann, Dixie Morgan, and Alex Baird received Second Team Honorable Mentions.
Salida’s Eva Capozza made the First Team and Kaia Wright was named to the Second Team. Fellow Spartan’s Hayden Bevington and Lucia Zettle were given Honorable Mentions.
In golf, Salida’s Kyndra Johnson received 1st Team All-State honors.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
