Dean Kent Champlin, 79, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 30, 2025, at 8:17am. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, teacher, coach, and friend, Dean lived a full and meaningful life dedicated to family, learning, and adventure. Born with a passion for history and an endless curiosity about the world, Dean spent his career as a history teacher, coach, and school administrator, shaping countless young minds and inspiring others with his love of knowledge and his steady leadership. On and off the court, field, or classroom, he led by example-teaching lessons in perseverance, teamwork, and integrity that extended far beyond the school walls. Dean’s love for the outdoors was evident in all he did- from hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding to afternoons spent on the golf course or basketball court. He found joy in nature, exercising and peace in the mountains he knew so well. Known for his gift of storytelling and his deep knowledge of the outdoors, Dean had a way of making everyone feel part of his adventures.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Champlin; his children, Christina (Michael) Rynearson, Abby (Tracy) Crowther, and Jeremy (Jessica) Champlin; his cherished grandchildren, Morgan
